Of course they are not enough but they are excellent. Highly useful. They were written for 2013-2014 session so, they are not updated. Also they are not written according to outline but you will find them very useful. You need Majumdar books along with it. Most of the students find these two sources enough for preparation.
I am consulting JWT book as well because it was written according to new syllabus and it has all the stuff compiled at one place. So, I am using these sources for my preparation. They are like more than enough in my opinion.
Some students go for books by foreign authors recommended by FPSC and many CSP's but in my opinion they are enough. Students consult books written by foreign authors as they help you in building your opinion better but I think for US history above 3 sources are more than enough.
Notes are not comprehensive. They are short but not too short and to better comprehend subject one must do a comprehensive style study. So. notes are not enough alone. So consult at least one more book and book by Majumdar is highly recommended one.
