Frivolous. I am diabetic patient as well. Before starting preparation, email was send to FPSC regarding my issue and If I am eligible. They told me that I am totally eligible but they will only consider me for desk jobs like audit and account services, OMG etc if I get selected.
In army they surely do not take diabetics. I was still unsure and real upset about it so, through this forum I started contacted many CSP's and asked about if they know any candidate who has faced similar situation. Luckily I have found I person who is a CSP and he helped me regarding my issue. His friend got selected the same year he got selected and he was diabetic. He came to know that they do urine test of all candidates. If someone is from medical background he or she must be aware that if sugar level is below 180 it does not appear in urine and this level is known as renal thresh hold. Normal blood sugar level is 70-140. If during blood sugar level reading shows 130 and above they can get indication that person is diabetic and more tests can be performed on him.
So he decided to simply dodge the medical examiner. He took information about tests as early he could after that with the help of a good medical specialist he tried to maintain his sugar levels between 80-110 with the help of medicines and diet.
They told me to try my best to dodge the medical examiner. If somehow they found out simply show them you are also surprised and did not know about this. Than they can allocate you to desk jobs etc but not field jobs.
Two of my uncles are CSP and they also told me to do the same. They told me diabetes is a condition not a viral disease and they must consider a candidate otherwise candidate can go to court for case. About law case then I took suggestion from my uncle who is retired judge of high court. He told me yes case can be filed and winning chances are more than losing and the basis of case can be that almost 20-30 million people in Pakistan are suffering from this disease and many of them are government servants so if You are not eligible than they should also be dismissed from jobs.
