Its upto you in which language you have read this subject and feel easy to explain. Normally when you go through by English, you are free to quote any ayah or hadees in your own words and if you give reference it will be a plus point otherwise its acceptable without reference. On the other hand, you have to put exact ayah nd hadees with ref.
