It's been more than 15 days since I started preparing this subject.
At the beginning, it was fun studying this subject. But, now I've started to lose my interest in it.

The reason behind losing interest is being unable to find authentic sources of information.

I'm currently at "Gender and Development" and I've studied it from several sources. Each source covers it through an entirely different perspective.

Now, I feel like I'm wasting my time studying this chapter anymore.

Kindly, can someone refer me to authentic sources, from where I can prepare this subject.

Also, Recommend me best books for Gender Studies (Hard or Soft)

Thank you,
It seems you have not planned it properly.
First analyze its past papers .
Then , shortlist the most important topics /chapters .
Consult FPSC recommended books ,research papers and newspapers to cover these important topics .
Then cover the remaining topics (If u have more time )
Remember this subject does not take much time .IT normally takes 120 hours-150 hours ..So , it we take 150 hours then it will take 15 days (10 hrs /day) or 10 days (15 hrs / day).
In fact ,every 100 marks subject takes this much time (120-160 hours ).Anything more is wasting one's time on a subject.

Moreover, losing interest in a subject is common and part of preparation .Believe me ,no one loves all the subjects. So, focus on preparing it in a best possible way .Assume it as a puzzle and you have to find the answers to the different questions .
let me make it more simple for you. You have 150 hours for gender studies .Suppose you have shortlisted 15 topics .Then , you have 10 hours / topic .
In 10 hours , you have to cover one topic ( this topic may contain sub topics .For example , one topic can be GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT .It has WAD ,WID ,GAD and many other subtopics ) .
Now consult recommended books (Maximum 2 books per topic) .
Wind it up the alloted time and prepare another topic .

I find the following books / sources quite helpful :
1) Theoretical perspectives on gender and development by Jane
2) What is gender: sociological approaches by Mary Holmes
3) Key concepts glossary by Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies
4) Research papers and newspapers (For contemporary topics )
5) Electoral Politics : Making quotas work for women by Huma Hoodfar

One expert tip:I wish someone had told me 3 years ago ..
Stay away from books of local Publishers for Gender studies .
