That is sadly true and I have seen people change their fields for CSS, and some just do a degree in IR for CSS. There is definitely a shortage of jobs in the market, but CSS is not the end of the world. If one uses some out of the box thinking then a lot can be done. One does not have to be a civil servant to bring a change. Furthermore, a CSP is not only leadership position that one can find.
CSS has become trendy, I can understand people doing it because of job or interest, but just doing it for the sake of doing it doesn't do CSS any justice and puts money in the pockets of the academies. So many people don't even appear after their first attempt.
