Default Sindh approaches President Alvi for change in MBBS entry test date

Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho has asked the president of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi to intervene and find the date of this entrance test for admissions at MBBS and bds programmes in medical universities and schools in Sindh shifted from 8th Muharram to another moment.

She told a news conference from the committee area of the Sindh assembly her petition to modify the date of this entrance evaluation was turned down for no reason by the Pakistan Medical and dental council PMDC and special assistant to pm on health Dr Zafar Mirza.

The health minister said that on her petition President Arif Alvi stated there was no difficulty in altering the date of their entrance test. but she stated that as she hadn’t got any confirmation in this respect shed love to appeal to the president through media to check into the issue and solve it in the first so that pupils could show up in the entrance test with reassurance.

She criticised the PMDC for bettering the eligibility standards and raising the percent from 60 to 70 per cent for look in the entrance test for admissions in medical schools stating that this could deprive many pupils of the chance to appear at the entrance evaluation who had prepared themselves for having 60 per cent marks at the intermediate assessments.

Pechuho said rather than doing it that the gain in the portion might have been carried out. when asked about the outbreaks of deadly infectious diseases in Karachi particularly deaths because of congo Crimean hemorrhagic fever CCHF and naegleria Folweri disease she changed the blame on the livestock section for not spraying creatures with insecticides in their arrival in town on the eve of eid-ul-azha along with the Karachi water and sewerage board for the failure to present chlorinated water.
