IR is fine but again it requires analytic method to study and write down in exam,, just remembring history (as most of the helping books are featured with) is not enough to go through,,
never go for small notes or headings to fill the pages,, go for analytical and reasoning skills to elaborate any idea in your exam.

IR has problems because its 2nd paper fully depends upon your current IR knowledge.. no history or small bullet notes work.
