Thanks for this well-researched information on Photosynthesis. It is this process with which all food chains begin. This process gathers raw materials from the surrounding environment (water, carbondioxide, chlorophyll and sunlight), and galvanizes all into a food molecule called Carbohydrates.
Oxygen is the by-product of this process. Photosynthesis also cools the surrounding environment with transpiration pull by which water is supplied to the top most leaf.
