you should check the question of the essay paper 2008 its written 2500-3000 words,to produce essay of such length and quality is a difficult task.
5000 words are not possible , i have seen people filling up sheets but not clearing the easy paper.
so maintain a normal length never compromise on quality of material you write.
i wrote an essay of reasonable length,didnt use extra sheet actually left many sheets from the first pack they give you and have cleared it.
