The complete answer to this question is:

Yes both the parties can dissolve the marriage contract.
there are many ways to dissolve it:

1. By divorce given by husband (can be through a court decree)

2. khula

3. mubarat

3. ila

4. Zihar

5. Talaq by tafweez ( also called Delagation of power to divorce)

6. By Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act (DMMA), and it further contains 10 sub-clauses.

(and i really can't remember the 7th point )

The question was tricky (albiet it was an easy question), but the answer is all about marriage and divorce chapters in the book, Muhammaden Law by D.F.Mullah.

This year this paper was a bit unexpected, compared to last 5 or 6 years of papers...like they have asked about Inheritance and presented a case about it, and it is really not in the course of BA Muslim LAw, it can be a question for LLB Law paper...

anyway, hope for the best !
