1)But at the headquarter in Islamabad, one has to survive within his clean salary ......
answer : thats right and i guess its gud if we do surivive in that ...no corruption etc is a great blessing in disguise..atleast we dont receive every now and then phone calls from MNA's etc demanding to release their workers which were caught red handed ...
secondly overall from foreign tours fsp people save a lot of money hence they dont require any more perks n priviliges

2) no vehicle for an officer of less than BPS-20.
ans...vehicle /bungalow/servants etc are again small issues for FSP people...reason i have already given above...i have just come back from holland and saved around 2 lakh rupees in just forty days....my other collegues saved a lot more than that ....i would be going abroad again for a language course of one year soon inshallah and even if i do indulge in excessive spending i can easily manage to save around ten lakh ....then again after one and a half year i would be going on a three year period to two foreign countries ....yes the amount of saving do change wrt to the country ur posted but overall one is really satisfied ...

3)Many officers who don't have good links will never get these opportunities.
ans....good links count in each and every service....same goes for psp and dmg...yet at the same time if ur hardworking and know ur job v well then eventually u do get noticed...i know of many instances in which the ambassador himself requested the HQ to extend the stay of a 3rd sec just because he simply couldnt manage without him

4) they are often inadequate in expensive cities like London, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo, Washington etc. One has to be tight fisted to survive there.
ans...to some extent its true....but being tight fisted doesnt mean u have to skip ur meals etc..it just means that the entertainment allowance that u get is usually not enough for u to throw big parties for ur friends every now and then...as u know tis really imp to cultivate PRs in FSP and for this reason a speciall allowance called ent all is given

5) I don't know exactly how many times the government sponsors his return to the country but I can guess it's not more than twice.
ans....petty issue reg buying an airline ticket

6)An officer gets seriously homesick
ans....true

7)gives no recognition among common people because it does not bring you in direct contact with the public
ans...to some extent true...FSP people doesnt conduct khuli katcheri n stuff like that in open air theatre with temp running at 50 deg C....but some sections do have public dealing esp the Protocol and Visa etc which they do while sitting in their comfortable air conditioned rums

8)all prized posyings are usually given to people from outside FSP e.g Current Ambassador to US,UK,Saudi Arabia e.t.c are not from FSP
ans....political interferrence is in every serv to some degree..i have quoted an instance above....tis just a matter of relativity....though with the passage of time FSP is also getting more and more specialised and prominent and role of OUTSIDERS is also on a decline
