Hi,
M sorry to respond late. DF Mulla's book is the most authentic book, in fact it may be called the reference book. But it is lengthy and written in tough language. if u can handle that, go ahead. otherwise try a book by Imran Ahsan Niazi. It is a great book on the subject. Also get Dogar's Unique guides for Muslim Personal Law, and Islamic Jurisprudence. They will show you what to prepare and how much information is enough to output in the exam.
Good luck!
