Hi psychoanalysis is an established old school of thought in psychology. The term psychodynamic is sometimes used interchangeably with the term psychoanalysis but there is technical difference between the two. The psychodynamic schhols of thought are all those schools which emphasize the importance of psychic factors in the formation of human personality and which sees human personality resulting from the dynamic interaction of psychic forces. That's why the term psychodynamic has been suggested. Psychoanalysis is one such example. Other examples are Ego psychology, Object relations theorists, Interpersonal theorists, just to mention few.
