Hey! It was my first attempt too & I was discouraged by all those around me, sadly the mentors, to give up the decision & prepare for the 2011 attempt instead (primarily because I just had 3 months at my disposal when I planned to appear.)
So here goes a message to all brothers & sisters out there. Do listen to what advice everyone has to offer but take the final decision yourself & never feel precarious about that. Allah will help you!!
