Don't join. Believe me its not worthwhile if you are already getting such good salary and perks. If you join you will always look back at leaving the NBP job with regrets because the information group does not give you much perks and privleges and if one is a female it becomes even tougher especially if one gets posted with a male Minister as PRO. Most of information group officers look to leave on deputation as soon as they are posted in the field. After 18th amendment when a lot of federal ministries are being handed over the provinces ,the prospects of this group have severely declined as instead of expansion the seats in this group are set to get reduced at senior levels. The only positive thing for you would be the prestige that is attached with being a csp officer but what is the point if you can't pay your household bills and have to look for other means to feed yourself. Information group can only be revived if all administrative positions in Pemra and PTV are handed over to this group. Otherwise, this group is no longer attractive.
