Before Mohd Bin Qasim a few expeditions were sent by Muslims
1- First in the reign of Hazrat Umar which ended in failure
2- During the khilafat of Hazrat Uthman under the supervision of Abdullah ibn A'mr who conquered Sistan and then advanced towards Balochistan. he also conquered a portion of Sind but didn't annexed that with the rest due to its arid land.
3- Several expeditions during the khilafat of hazrat Ali and Hazrat Mu'awaiya.
4- From hajjaj under the command of UbaidUllah
