see its all about how you tackle the problem, few of my logic was given in the previous posts. An additional reason is that in this modern era where would you find such a representative body cable of representing a major part of the population. People are divided into different sects, one sect doesnot trust the other. Parliment is that platform where all the people could come together and make laws. Furthermore i clearly explained that in relation to religious laws the parliament could easily get the help of well known jurists. Furthermore there are institututions which help and provide assistance to the legislatures in making laws, not only religious laws but also political laws. All the islamic laws the muslim family ordinance 1961, marriage act and other laws were all made in the parliment. One must remeber that the other name of pakistani parliment is shura.
