U would normally be posted as District Accounts Officer or Assistant Accountant General/Asst Auditor general..Promotion is rapid..After 8,10 months in the field,U would be given current charge as a grade 18th officer(which means that although u still would be a grade 17 officer,but U shall be performing duties of an 18th grade officer)..U may be able to get accommodation and vehicle in small districts,but its difficult to get such facilities in BPS-17 in larger districts..Power wise it cant compare to DMG or PSP,and likewise its not an APUG service..but there is a good chance for going on deputation on other departments..
