Auditor General is supposed to be from Audit and Accounts group. But there is atleast one precedent that I know of, when the Auditor General was of DMG group, viz. SK Mahmud who with his political connections, deprived the Audit and Accounts group and Mr Mahmood Lodhi, who was to become AG as the senior most officer of Audit n Accounts group.

Most probably, another corrupt officer of DMG, a political appointee, is again going to replace the present Auditor General Mr T Agha, when he retires (this year, either July or November).
