This is not about discouraging anyone.
I myself have opted these two subjects and therefore i am in a position to give a suggestion. I will stick to it, physics and maths both chosen at the same time are going to give him a tough time. Either take physics or maths.

I have done this mistake, that with an engineering background, i thought maths and physics will be easier to handle. But no, there's much more to the syllabus. Engineering studies makes a very small portion of the syllabus content.

If one has a firm grip on these both subjects, its fine. sirf is base pr ye subjects lena because you have studied them in fsc, then engineering, that will be a wrong decision.
