1- Jub 2001 main local gov. ordinance aya tha to us waqt sub-registrar ki alag say post create ki gae the jo k sirf land registration ka work krta tha or jahan sub-registrar nhi thay wahan sub-registrar ka charge Assistant commissioner formerly DDO(R) k pass tha but after passing the local government tarmeemi act 2010 sub-registrar ki powers tehsildar k pass hain.
2- government ki jo lands hain un k about jitna bhi tax hay wo collect krna or government ki land ko illegal encroachers say acquire krwana. This is the role of tehsildar under land acquisition act.
3- tehsildar assistant collecter 1st grade hota hay. land k about jitni bhi recoveries hoti hain unhain recover krna tehsildar ki duty hay.
