So in my opinion sociology has to be mentioned in precis but has no relevance to the actual title that one opts for. Secondly, a title is primarily concerned with what the reader is reading. Your opinion seems to be in contradiction to what you are stating, because you admitted that sociology is an important point the passage.
Secondly, i would suggest you to reconsider the actual passage given in the paper to be precised. Its opening four lines emphasize clearly on sociology. Also in the concluding lines the writer once again emphasized sociology.
