My Viva May 21st, 2012 Islamabad Phase II
My background is an MBBS degree and my optionals were American History, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration and Journalism.
I entered the room at around 100 and took my seat in front of the panel.
Mr Bhagwandas first pointed out mistakes in my pschological performa and told me to explain them. He was generally jeerish towards me and the banter lasted throughout the interview . I was confident and amped up on my requirement of nicotine so i braved it with a smile. A hearty smile did manage to escape his lips halfway through the ordeal but alas, it was only for a moment so brief. After asking a few questions about my area of domicile (Gilgit Baltistan), he proceeded with the following questions:

Mr. Rana Bhagwandas :
What is FDI and the figure to be quoted.
What was the FDI in 2006-2007.
A question from Public Administration, asked about a name that i donot remember or knew about.
Why haven't you gotten your NIC renewed when it expired on the 20th of april.
Name one US president who wasn't elected.
What is the current status of the government of greece, what is happening there.
Why bashar al assad as a negative personality( from my performa).
The Foreign Debt of pakistan.
Debt Trap and circular Debt.
What is the total amount of circular debt.
Importance of Myanmar in South East Aaisa.(I mentioned the Myanmar reforms in my psychological performa).
Asean
What is the respectable way out for pakistan after the salala incident

Mr Saud Gohar :
The karakoram Scenario(or something along those lines). Pertains to the Glacial study in relation to my area
Difference between Police remand and Judicial remand.
What is a police State.
Why wasn't sarkozy re-elected.
What is GTT. ( related to medical, Glucose Tolerance Test)

Mr. Muhammad Ahmad Mian
What is the total number of registered doctors with PMDC in pakistan.
Doctor to patient ratio
Bipolar Disorders, what is it and what causes it.
Sociological and psychological perspective on the situation in Lyari.
If i had specialised from outside of pakistan.
The Budget of the army and the total Debt servicing payments of pakistan as a percentage of the GDP.
The Health budget of the Countnry.

That is all i can come up with at the moment, will throw in a few more questions if i remember any.
My General impression of the panel was that they were really nice. The attitude of the chairman towards me might have been instigated by my bumbling idiocy in the psychological and the subsequent report it might have generated. Mr Saud Gohar and Mr. Mian were pleasent though. Even the chairman seemed like a very nice person. Regardless of how it turns out, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And for anyone stressing out on the viva, my advice is to de-link the result of the viva with the actual viva itself. Don't think about what will happen and what the viva will lead to, just go in there and give it your best.
