CONVENTION
OF THE ORGANISATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE
ON COMBATING INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM

(SUMMARIZED)

PART-I
PURPOSE
1. To protect the Sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity, political independence and security of states, and non-intervention in their international affairs
PRINCIPLES APPLICABLE TO CHARTER
1. Islamic moral and religious principles of Sharia
2. Charter of OIC
3. International Law and UN Charter cum resolutions
4. all other conventions acceded by OIC states

TERRORISM AND STRUGGLE AGAINST FOREIGN OCCUPATION
1. Confirming the legitimacy of struggle against foreign occupation and colonialist and racist regimes, including armed struggle for liberation and self-determination in accordance with the Charter and resolutions of the UN.

DEFINITION AND GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1
1. It defines the Terrorism as "any act of violence or threat thereof notwithstanding its motives or intentions perpetrated to carry out an individual or collective criminal plan with the aim of terrorizing people or threatening to harm them or imperiling their lives, honor, freedoms, security, or rights or exposing the environment or any facility or public or private property to hazards or occupying or seizing them, or endangering a national resource, or international facilities, or threatening the stability, territorial integrity, political unity or sovereignty of independent States.
2. It recognizes the international conventions dealing with security of Air and Sea routes and protections of diplomats.
Article 2
1. Although it recognizes "Political freed struggle against foreign rule" it also exclude some actions perpetrated by the "Freedom fighters" and stamp them as terrorist acts
a. Aggression against head of the states and their sub-ordinates
b. Foreign diplomats
c. Robbery and murder and transport and communications
d. Sabotaging Public properties
e. Narcotics, trafficking, money laundering for financing terrorist crimes
