Dear don't worry about it.....there is already a lot of information about it, you just follow the steps.....
- Give the passage a casual reading to have a general idea of the passage...
- Now read it thoroughly with focused attention and meticulously to every detail.
- There is only one main idea and the rest is description and corollaries of the main idea, you have to distinguish between the corollary and the main idea...Most of the people get confused and lured by the decoy of these corollaries and get the irrelevant idea...remember the main idea is one and only...
- Give another reading to the passage and now start skimming, taking out the genuine ideas and leaving the rest which is the explanation of the genuine ideas.
- Now once you have found out the main idea, give it a comprehensive name, this is your title.
- Make a draft and make sure you have included everything relevant.
- It must be the 1/3rd of the actual passage.
- The precis must support the title because if you are not able to find the actual thing then still you have safe zone if you at least write staying within the boundaries of the title given.
