I wrote in favour of religion in my autobiography;I rather wrote a full paragraph on mysticism,purpose of human existence,immortality,time and space etc.Psychological panel asked penetrating questions about Darwinism,Matter and Spirit,Dr.Ali Shariati's Red and Black Shiaism which I confidently answered and was appreciated by panel.In fact 75% of my interview with psychological panel was about spirituality.

So,there is no harm writing about religion but one must be careful not to confuse religion with theocracy and the oppression and tyranny it engenders.
