DNS : Stands for "Domain Name Server", it holds information that which domain name is equivalent to which IP address. For example:

The term BlackBerry is used for handheld devices
not for their Operating system. When you say BlackBerry you mean a device. For an Operating system used by a BlackBerry, terms such as "BlackBerry OS", "BlackBerry 10", "BlackBerry OS 7", are used.
