One needs conviction in his argument to persuade others.
Prepare an excuse and present it with such confidence that the person listening it should believe it.Many media persons are expert in this, especially the one who comes daily with scandalmongering and presents them as "Khara Sach".
One can anticipate the doubt about one's past, in the mind of interviewer, and should have proper justification or excuse for it.
Nobody is hundred percent correct throughout his life, at least morally.
