Suicide Risk in Early Psychosis
School of Psychology and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust
Applications are invited from suitably qualified psychology graduates to join the psychosis research team working on suicide risk and self harm in young people with psychosis. The PhD will be undertaken in collaboration with the Birmingham Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and will focus on ‘real time' monitoring of suicidal thinking within the framework of differential activation theory and evolutionary psychology

The studentships will be at the basic UK research council rate (expected £12,600 p.a. in 2008/9) to provide support over the three-year period and will cover tuition fees.
