It is requested to serving PSPs and senior members and those who are aware,to draw te picture of life in PSP.
I know there are quite a few threads regarding this, but I want you to consider this . Most of young aspirants including me prefer PSP as they think they will be investigating crimes likes Sherlock Holmes/Monk etc and fighting criminals like James bond. But since few days I have got a feeling that ranks of ASP and above are most of the times just administration jobs. ASP and SP might lead raid in some cases and that too when they are SP operations, but most of the time they'll be sitting in their offices administrating force and receiving calls from seniors and politicians to set someone free or arrest some innocent etc.
Moreover What about SP investigations ? Are there any forensic labs etc available to carry on investigation or ONLY "maar kutaye" is the option ?In short, are ASP,SP,SSP more of the field jobs or just desk jobs
?
and lastly, as one can be transferred to police lines,training, protocol etc , how often does this happen ? I mean if someone like me who want to work in field, how many years will he have to remain in these places .
P.S: I know I may look like some fanatic , but the thing is I am really highly motivated . Even he only genre I like is crime/mystery/detective . I have watched almost all of the crime/detective Pakistani,Indian,English shows and most movies . my passion for PSP is not because of these movies,but I watch these seasons/movies because PSP is my passion . And the truth is I want to join PSP to solve crimes,and eradicate wrongdoings
and not for power/fame etc. (telling you, so you may answer accordingly)
