First of all i clear that what i told you was merely for setting an example and nothing like that is sure because HR will adopt the best strategy to pick best candidates from you on merit. then if I said that written marks are the key but that does not mean GD is use less and they will ignore best performers of GD. definitely they will give reward to people who produced exceptional arguments. but how can 1 imagine they will put the written marks on a side and make the selection solely on the basis of GD. there will be surely many people from you who even after getting 80+ or 90+ did not got good opportunity/topic or could not express there abilities in those 5 or 10 minutes to speak at GD session. but how can we people think they will ignore there 80+ or 90+ marks in written portion.
