No one had helped me and guided me about this test. However, I would like to share my experience here. It was very bad experience as I could not prepare very well and I am sure that I will not be among the qualified candidates. However, my experience can surely make future candidates able to pass this test, if they follow the following instructions:

After reaching at Test Center, we were told that if we do not know how to write Short Hand then we may leave because according to FPSC invigilators, a candidate who can not right 100 out of 100 words in Short hand writing and 50 out of 50 word in Typing, he\she will be considered as failed candidate. Because according to them it was minimum criteria.

FPSC had sent a sealed envelope in which one page article was enclosed for short hand writing. FPSC invigilator, for our convenience first of all read out a trial page of Dawn News paper for a minutes. We were allowed to write it down to check our speed.

Then the real test of Short Hand Writing Started. I could write only few sentences as the speed of 100 words per minutes is very fast speed. If any one wants to know the speed of 100 words per minute, he can download these audios from the following link. On the following link audios of 40 to 100 words are given to practice Short Hand Writing:

http://www.pitmanlondon.co.uk/shorthandspeed/

One can never write 100 words per minute until and unless he\she learns Pitsman style of writing in which Alpha bates are written in one line form. Following is the link to learn about it:

After dictation of Short Hand Writing, we were told to transfer short hand to actual words.

Second part was Short Hand Typing. Another enclosed page was given to us in which there were 360 words and we were given 5 minutes to type minimum 50 words per minutes. Extra 110 words were given if one can write more words.

Third part was MS Office. Very easy part. In this part also a page was given on which short paragraph was written with some instructions like: Make this word in Bold and Italic. Use this font and style and and also use grammar spelling check option etc.

Last Part was Excel: We were given a chart on which marks of few candidates were given in different subjects. We were asked to draw the table, add these marks on Excel, make their average marks and grade and then make a Bar graph.

Practice of Short Hand Writing of around two months is must if one really wants to pass the test. Short Hand Typing is comparatively easy but Short hand writing is highly difficult. The whole test took 2-3 hours. Because there was electricity issue due to which computer was not functional.

Wish You Good Luck.
