Role of Education in the Development of a Nation
Today, a nation with stable economy, strong military, developed in science and technology, in a state of perfect democracy is considered a developed one. While underdeveloped is contrast to it. The former is at summit/apex and the latter one is at nadir. We couldn’t compare them as they are at extreme positions. So if we find a cause which makes them different we come to know that the developed one is flourished with the light of education and the underdeveloped is away from education or have a poor structure of education.

Education is the key factor
• In development of EU
• In development of U.S
• In development of Japan
Education brings:
• Tolerance
• Unity
• Nationalism

In the days of yore a nation was considered strong and developed if they had a strong military force but now the world is completely changed it is equipped with science and technology. Now the world is of science and technology. Those nations are considered strong and developed who are self-sufficient in their economy, technology, industries, military, nuclear technology, a stable democratic system; these are gifted by Education, which is bowed in their culture, people and in their hearts and which is perfectly rooted. So education makes them strong enough and now there is prosperity for them.

If we talk about education, it is broad term. Actually education has swallowed many fields, all of vital importance for the development of nation. So this term is not confined to the scientific education, religious education also comes in its domain. All these collectively called “Education” and this contributes mainly to the development of a nation.

Our religion “Islam” has also given us precise instructions about the education. Islam is a complete code conduct so it realizes the significance of education and it tells how important education is, for the development and sovereignty of Muslims Uma. Once our HPBUH imposed a penalty on prisoners of battle, to teach some students, so we can get idea from this that education is how much important for this world. That’s why Islam ask its followers to be educated either man or woman. Now it’s duty of Muslims to get both religious as well as modern education. Many Muslim scientists pave the way of many fields in science and technology and now remembered as fathers of sciences.

As education makes nations strong so let me take a start from an individual of a society, who is well educated and following domestic law, therefore he contributes to the nation’s development rather making hurdles in it. On the other hand if an individual is not educated, he would not be able to have a good opportunity of having a job, he would be indulge in society’s different crimes. Instead of taking part in nation development, he would take it four steps down. So he would be burden on a nation.

If we see developed countries societies, education is rooted there. They are showing a complete harmony, their lives is followed by a law and every individual of their societies contribute to the nation’s development by doing jobs , running business, their women are also doing jobs. So you wouldn’t see any person free there.

One of the most important factors, which are considered as brain of nation and this brain, is nothing without education. So it plays a role as brain as in human body. So if nation is naught without education. If a nation is well education, know the market, business and other economic terms, and will contribute to the nation’s economy. Today, if we see economies of U.S, EU, India and China (Our neighbor), they have strong economies and the cause is just Education. They have maintained a high literacy rate; it would be a very difficult task to find any illiterate there. Our Asian country, one fourth of Karachi’s population has a strong economy than we have.

A good democracy is directly proportional to the literacy rate, if a nation is well educated, her democracy or political structure will be great and well administered. Many developed countries have strong political system as they have highly qualified politicians. They allocate ministries to the members of their parliament, according to their education background. For example a ministry of foreign affairs is allocated to the member who has deeply studied political science and knows the international relations and laws rather to the graduate as in developing countries, who even don’t know A, B, C of their ministries. Besides these well-educated politicians lead the country to the prosperity, make it strong and clean from corruption and nepotism and other political diseases. An educated voter plays a very important role in the elections and choses the wright person to rule over their land. so education plays very significant role in the political structure, because if a voters choses a right person he would country in the right way, makes their future as bright as sky, and if they if their voter is illiterate then definitely they chose the wrong one and the result is that they ruined the nation structure and just fulfill their needs, and lead them into as dark as night.

Without education man is like an animal, which eat, drink everything given by us. So many terrorism or extremist are making illiterate people on the name of Islam in the wrong activities. They are making them alien and forcing them against their own nation on the name of Allah and Muhammad. So if they were educated, the terrorist weren’t able to involve them in such activity. That's just education, which make us to differentiate, right and wrong for us.
