It is a very interesting and relax job with a lot of exposure and training opportunities. During the course of duty one has to visit all the 3 tiers of Health infrastructure in a district. it includes:

i. Primary health care facilities.
ii. Secondary health care facilities.
iii. Health care facilities.

A monitoring officer will be given a weekly schedule to visit a facility from the above mentioned tiers. It requires extensive travelling to every nook and corner of the respective district. Moreover, back in November the field staff received a salary raise.
Interesting fact is that this job is not time bound like a typical 9-4 desk job.
