Q:What r the important elements of national unity and solidarity?Discuss their
particular importance for the people of pakistan.

I think, equal economical rights to all the provinces which were discussed in history as well but are still pending, unfortunately. These are the essential ones for the nation's unity.

Then comes the role of importance in Parliment of a country. We can see, most of the times, our PM would be elected from National assembly from the the party which would not the selected from the party that is famous in all provences. So if the people are not unite then how would they handle the affairs? (Although you would say that PPPP has won the election 2008 being a leading party but this time, this party was carring the sympathys of the nation as you know. Otherwise it was not much famous in NWFP.)

The next one is can be the issue of KALA BAAG DAM. Govt. should think about such issue which was a minor one and now the Load shedding has oversome EVERYTHING else. If it was handeled in a proper way then there was not such problem which is being faced by nation, Today.

Then the Development issue of different Provinces that the Punjab is the Most developed province of the country, not even sind but only Karachi. Why dont Govt. pays attention towards development of NWFP or BALOCHISTAN etc.

In My point of view important elements of national unity and solidarity are as Under

1-Justice
Providing Justice free of any pressure is on of important element resgarding national Unity .Beacuse When people come to know that there is justice for all at same level in the country ,They will feel good and feel themselves as part of the nation.

2-Equal opportunities for all

Poeple of Pakistan should be provided equally opportunties in every thing like in NFC Award,Job Employement and equal development work in all parts of country and should take steps to overcome un euqual social system

3-Promoting Merit rather then Selection

We should promote Merit Culture in Education,Employement etc

4-Democarcy

Democracy should be promoted and all decision reagrding foriegn policy,internal matters should be done in parliment which should reflect the wish of the people of Pakistan rather then single person/party or any foriegn country wish.

for national soliderity and unity i think the most important elements are, equality and justice in socio-economic as well as political areas of the country, to each province, resolving the existing issues among the provinces, and consensus on national issues by all the political and provincial tycoons. beside this a strong democratic government with a strong law enforcement agencies is also important.
