just wanted to know the time period of islamic history I & II,what i have known is that paper I starts from pre-islamic era to the four caliphate, where as th e paper II starts from right afterwards of ALI,s caliphate up to date.please guide,,,,thanks

thank u zia khana,,,u know the paucity of books in quetta so i have got a book on islamic history which starts from pre-islamic arab to the Fatimid period including Ummayid in Spain,the auther of the book is Professor K Ali in assistance with Prof.Mrs.Azra ali,this was the best book i could find in the bookshops,what do you suggest ? should i stop looking for more books?????

one thing more zia khana,which bookshop do u know has the all suggested books available??? i have frequently visited the bookshops in liaquat bazar near habib bank where these BPSC and CSS books are sold,is it the best place or do u know some place else????

As for as my knowledge in concerned book of K.Ali does not cover the syllabus of PCS. It is not sufficient. Go for the book of Mazhar-ul-Haq - it is the best. Try to prepare your own notes from that book and point out the headings. The more you mention headings in the papers the higher will be the marks.

Yes, you can get all sort of books from Archer Road Urdu Bazar Quetta. Shah Jahan Market on the same road is the best place, they will provide your desired books. You can also visit the Book Shops of Jinnah Road.

It is not confirmed yet. You should carry on your preparation. Usually BPSC has no time frame for the Exam they can conduct it any time, at least after four months of the submission of forms.

I don't think so that the academy will help you in preparation of PCS Exam. You can attempt the exam well by self study. Some people join academies for preparation of CSS Exam. In Lahore they will teach/guide you according to the pattern of PMS and there is also difference between PMS and PCS/BPSC.
