Salam ! to all out there....

I have a strong ambition to take PCS exam and just started my preparations.
But i am concerned about Geography paper as we have it in the academic syllabus on degree level unlike some other subjects which have been retaied in 1st year, 2nd year and onwards till 4th year. therefore it is comparitively short and does not cover all aspects of it.The PCS Syllabus also demands degree level preparations for the following subject. So one may call it an easy subject to consult for ones preparations due to it's disappearance from academic syllabus for two years.
Keeping all that in mind the query which arose is about the questions the Geography paper will contain, will they be on the topics which are also mentioned in the academic syllabus or will they cover some other aspects which are not mentioned there...?

better to stdy previous papers of the subject u r going to opt.that will answer ur queries better than anybody.past papers of almost all the subjects are available on the forum.hope that will help u to a great extent.

Dear, in PCS exam Geography is same as in CSS ...... but with one additional topic and that is about the "geography of south east Asia" .... which includes the weather, climate, topography and vegetation etc .... of India , Pakistan and Afghanistan. if we see the last year papers and marking ratio, it was a good paper ...... but sorry to say this year in 09 geography paper was disappointing ....... many candidates didn't crossed 60 so before opting geography u must see the 09 pattern .. thx.
