Well I am no religious scholar I was just conveying the verdict that ulemas have reached unanimously regarding conventional banking. Basically working in a conventional bank is considered haram be it the central bank or any other bank. If you are really interested in the information then we can discuss this on another forum but this is not the right place for it.

Brother , even Islamic banking is not considered 100 % percent halal , because they also deal with the KIBOR , but this religious aspect of banking employment is a very debatable and sensitive topic , in present society jobs are so much scarce , it is better to take the job on offer rather than being jobless. We do have a bleak economic situation and Islam is against suffering . I am not a mufti . Just giving my perception

For time being , lets just gear our focus and discussion on preparation of the test .

Best. .

sorry i m going to share to my opinion, and i m no scholar what i think if you people consider central bank as harram then remember that the whole money runs in our economy is due to it and its fully interest based economy whatever you do u have to accept interest involvement in your income...

Well it's a debate best held at a scholarly level, as you have already said that you are not a scholar hence your opinion carries no weight (with all due respect). I think it's best for everyone to leave this topic here as to understand such rulings you need to have the proper knowledge about religion and also how the economy works, which most people lack. You cannot go about legalizing something just because you fail to fathom the complexities involved in the subject

I think at this stage all of you should concentrate to get through the both test. And after selection in both one may evaluate both programs. Each have their own benfits. But one major advantage for YPIP inductees is that they may be posted at hometown if seats are available at respective station. Wish you good luck.
