Default EMBA from IBA after MBA

Dear Senior members like Raz,

I want to get some guidance related to my educational career. I am an MBA and hold enough experience that makes me eligible for EMBA from IBA. Is it a good option to go for an Executive Degree in Business Administration having MBA degree already in your record? I am focused to opt for concentration in Corporate Sector.

Default Iba

Hm. but i don't want to go for M.Phil or Ph.D that is pure research field. I have cleared test of IBA. So do you think that having Double MBA will really worth. That's my question. I want to go for different majors too.

EMBA was created solely for professionals in middle level management position without prior knowledge in management science so they could advance to upper management positions.

If you have already done an MBA and have a good experience then EMBA will not be a value addition in any way. Because from now onwards your academic background will be of little influence than your professional experience.

Better go for a professional certification (if there is a need) in your related field.

It'd be better if you could tell your MBA majors, year of completion of MBA, industry you are working in and years of experience for further guidence.

My First MBA majors was Finance from International Islamic University in September 2010. Right now I am working with Allied Bank Limited. I was hired as Management Trainee in 2011 leading to General Banking Officer. It's been two years with Allied Bank. Moreover, I have completed two stages of ISQ, JAIBP.

Then there is no need to do EMBA. Why don't you try and do CFA, that will be much more beneficial.

You can go for CFA, ACMA, CIA or CIMA etc. whichever is most suitable as per your future plans. EMBA would not be beneficial to you.

Good only if you want to do PhD in future, make you career as researcher or as a teacher at a university.

Otherwise if you plan to do a 9 - 5 job at a company then there is no use of doing M.S
