I am about to complete my MBA (Finance) in couple of months and i am 26 years old.
I want to join banking sector in the start of my career.
I would like to have some suggestions and guidelines from my seniors (Specially Bankers) about the current condition of banking sector, where should i start from? and what should i be expecting in terms of salary?
Suggestions are also welcomed from people who are working in other sectors of finance but they should be authentic and valid

Wa Alaikum Salam , you can start as An MTO from any commercial bank , it's a career oriented and financially rewarding position , MCB & UBL are offering TBO & RBO's resp for last 2/3 years instead of MTO.(the reason remains unknown to me ) these 2 banks pay 22-26k @ start while bank Al Habib pays same to Its MTO's , Askari is the best employer in terms of salary & prestige , they pay 50k+ from start after training while 45 k during training , another option is asst director @ SBP through state bank officer training program (SBOT) you can get 50k + from here too but it comes with permanent posting & Sbp HEad office Karachi or you can an extended program of state bank subsidiary induction through YPIP here again you can expect more than 45k , I haven't come to know how HBL hires officer the remaining banking sector almost follows the suit!
