Default Bankers Face Problems.

Can anyone tell me what kind of problems a Banker faces after joining any commercial bank ? What are Banking Effects on social life ?

Almost all banks have late sittings. High pressure job mostly, pay is okay. There is lot of pressure to bring deposits (branch bankng) and after financial crisis, layoffs are happening and banking career looks unstable.

Hope it helps.

Drawback of banking jobs
1. Pressure of deposit (branch banking)
2. Lot of office politics with third class tactics employed to effect your peace of mind. Be prepared, people will harass you
3. Without connections banking job is a nightmare, you will have no rights, whatever boss says would be full and final. Choosing a boss to work with is important.
4. you should be a compulsive liar in order to excel and browbeat opponents.

Benefits

1. Better pay
2. Pay is never late or delayed

I am working as branch manager in a big bank
In my opinion problems
1.Too demanding and tough customer
2. Threats of complaints by customers (Bank always beleive customer is always right, whatever the issue is, you have to say sorry, in every case)
3. Work pressure, both in operations and Business (Sales) department, in operations, calls from regional offfice, complaince, audit rectifications, different new tasks, reports etc along with dailly cutomer job
4, Doing your work done in such a way that it is 'objection free' from audit propects
5. Monthly or weekly visit of "Saab"
6. In sales, tension of every new and existing customer. Due to high number of branches and banks, retaining of existing and marketing of new customers.
7. Tension of transfer even to remote areas, normally and for punishment
8. Your mistake of a ZERO can make you to a big suffer
.
But all this is what a new comer would see it, with the passage of time, you get use to of it and also you get knwoledge that how to tackle all this, as everything has a solution, these above mentioned problems too have solutions. You get aware how to do work from audit propect, how to make "saab" please. How to make a customer happy, you, with the passage of time, learn how to tackle and trick a client.
timing issue is a major problem, infact very big one.
Office job is best, with respect to work burdon but has no growth becuase of lake of learning opportunity and lake of client interaction, also, switching to other bank on good salary and good grades is mostly possiblle for branch staff.
Snything esle, I missed, you are welcome to ask.

All the problems are created by the SBP and the concerned bank management policies. There is shortage of staff in every bank. Single person is working the work of 2,3 persons. Customer is given extra importance and in return he disgrace the bankers.

Customer is very aware now, he knows if you talk harsh, he has an option to complaint
If you refuse to collect utility bills, or collect late or prefer a normal customer over him, he has option to write "chitti"

In banks you dont have position security.Like,You have been promoted as Branch Manager after a lot of performance. But if you failed to procure deposit in one annual, you will be thrown off from your seat.

Agreed dear,
I am also working in a commercial bank since last 7 months in cash however I am MBA/4-year BBA (H). At the begining I worked really hard whole day & with the passage of time I have been suffering some breathening & alergic problem with the soiled notes smell.
I requested my ROM to shift me from cash as it would be deadful for me but gave no response & now I am Asthmic Patient.

What they gave me reward of my health issue ?
They de-rated my appraisal,
Extend my training period,
Stop my confirmation,
Stop my ful salary,
Daily ask me for resignation or work in cash,
Threaten me to transfer to some remote area etc

what should I do ? They never communicate with me officially. There is alot of politics, favortism in the bank.
Sochta hon Sue ker don bank ko or Banking Mohtasib ko 1 khatarnak complaint ker don.

Really feel bad about what you wrote.

As per my knowledge I don't think Banking Mohtasib considers such complaints as this does not pertains to customers. What you need to do is to file a lawsuit against the Bank ASAP, and claim damages for both your physical and mental suffering.

This is no way an employee needs to be treated, if you don't have any financial constraint, resign from the bank and burn it down (not literally but destroy its reputation by taking it to the court). No one would ever want to work for a bank which does not makes proper safety precaution for cash handling.

My empathy and regards are with you.
