Default Cfa

CFA is a world wide recognized certification and is more valuable around the globe but mostly in financial circle.

If we compare M.Phil Finance with CFA, following point should be kept in mind:

If you go for M.Phil Finance, it should be from a very good University, doing M.Phil Finance from a local university might not prepare you to compete internationally. you cannot turn ur face from reality, here organizations have IBA/LUMS fever, they even do not short list if you dont have that and is written in their advertisement. So be smart, either do M.Phil from an international University or go for CFA

Ateeb

It depends on your future goals. If you want to serve as lecturer/professor then M.Phil is a good option. CFA is internationally recognized certification and you can join accountancy/auditing firms and other organizations like SECP, SBP. furthermore there are lot of job opportunities for CFA in UAE.

Thumbs up Do not lose hope!

Dear Imran,

Just a Snapshot of my life:

I have worked as key punch operator at NBP part time and won recognition of services award during my B.Com at Qta, then i worked as Assistant Accountant and Auditor at a Law Firm part time in Qta during my MBA.

But today i am Asst Director at SBP and a fulbright scholar for 2014 fall. my last edu is MBA finance from Uni of Balochistan.

So it does not matter that you are from a wealthy family or a middle class one ... the only thing that matters is the positive attitude towards your goals with a hope that ALLAH is always there to help you.

Just Pray 5 times a day, never do injustice to anyone and believe in yourself.

For CFA kindly keep on watching their website, they offer Scholarships for every June and December Exam. I am sure they help the deserving.

Regards,

Ateeb

The CFA program which you mentioned, is the Pakistani alternative of CFA. Moreover, the said CFA certification awarding institute is not affiliated with the International federation of Accountants which is a little bit of concern for me. However, it is very economical in terms of fee.
Whereas, the CFA program offered by USA, apparently has the most recognition because of its international worth. But the downside of it is that it is very costly.
