I'm MTO at ABL (Batch 2011) posted in Faisalabad. I think you must continue your job and start doing MS Program in evening (Most of the Universities offer MS program only in evening because mostly students of MS are job holders.). I don't know about any University in Muzafarabad offering MS program if you need to go to ISL then you can go for Mutual transfer / transfer if you want to continue your job at ABL. MS degree without any job experience will not yield you much more than your Masters degree. If you leave your job and start doing MS and again you start job after completing your MS degree it is possible that you start with the same salary package or little higher (Higher Cost of living & Inflation Factor). I suggest you to continue your job and if you can manage to do MS then it would yield you much more than just doing your MS without any prior experience. Because when you would complete your MS (Probably after 2 years), you will have the MS degree and at-least 2 years of Job experience (of a well renowned organization ABL). If you would take admission in the same course in which you already have done your master then it would need much lesser effort of yours because most of the concepts and articles are same in Master & MS. MS is just more closer to research than theoretical study as compared to masters. I hope you got my point but make the decision which suits you because exceptions are every where.

ABL is a progressive Bank , and currently outperforming its competitors (excluding Public Sector Banks ) in terms of HR policies and benifits. Being MTO you have better prospects of becoming Branch Manager in very short span of time. ABL is currently giving good annual increments alongwith other fringe benifits. However, In private banking Sector , the days ahead will be tough. Cost Reduction , Rationalization of HR Strength , Cut-Throat Completion etc will affect the bankers . Some Banks previously known to be markt leaders (Such As MCB) are oblivious towards staff’ giving litle annual increments ie 3 to 5 Pc per annum , extended work loads and various pressures of other kind.In given circumstances , if one finds a better oppourtunity , it must be availed. Now Coming to your MS, its good option if you complete PhD .After qualifying MS you may get Job In university an continue PhD simultaneously. But, given the sudden increase in number of candidates enrolled in MS/PhD , home and abroad, finding suitable job in teaching will not be easy task in future. So you may have to search for job in the wake of heightened competition not only with locally qualified Doctors but also with foreign Degree holders who are currently pursuing studies funded by HEC. Another comparatively secure option is to applyfor Foreign Scholership such as 90 percent (open), Fullbright, Common Wealth, Chevening etc. With foreign degree in hand, you will have bright chances of adjustement in Pakistan or abroad. Still another option, and many of job-holders are doing so, to try to do MS with your Job from some 2nd Grade University. If not in Muzzafarabad , then try to get Tranfer to Islamabad, or try to explore job opourtunities in Islamabad. Previouisy Govt Jobs were considered to be low paid in comparison to banking sector. However situation has changed now after scale revision and enormous asalary rises by Govt. Now a newly appointed BPS 17 officer gets around 30000 Rs Salary with little stress , short timings and high job security. So you may also try to find some Govt Job through FPSC.Go for the option that suits you well.

Thanks for guiding me regarding my problem. I have analyzed my situation very deeply and came up with a decision that i must opt for MS/M.Phil as banking field is not for my type of person. I do like to have a job that is somehow related to my area of specialty. I am working with ABL for last 6 months and found this job boring. . I don't know why, but i don't think that I am for banking. I have passed my GAT General test with a very good score.
So i'll be applying for MS/M.Phil as i have no burden of financials upon me. Kindly suggest me whether MS from SZABIST or M.Phil from QAU will be good. Which one is the better option, because i will be applying at these two universities. Or is there any other good university for this program. IIUI is an other option for me because i have MBA degree from IIUI. Waiting for a good reply from senior members. Thanks
