I received the letter from NBP yesterday as well, it was delivered to by home yesterday morning. I am kinda surprised by the pace of this recruitment exercise Having served my time with an NBP branch as an internee I am well aware of how things work at NBP

The list of documents they have asked to bring along for the interview has baffled me. They have not only asked for attested academic documents but have also mentioned to bring original documents as well, with 8 photographs, 3 or 4 Salary slips and whatnot.

Seems to me that this probably will be the final interview and the results will be announced fairly soon. Asking for 8 photographs and salary slips are asked for mostly at the last stage of the recruitment process.

I am a bit excited and nervous that there is going to be some serious competition, wish the list of candidates was filtered with city as well so I could have traced out how many from Karachi will be appearing in the test.

Besides this, what should be appropriate dress code for the interview? A full suit or a formal Shirt/pant with a tie or just a formal shirt/pant?

Speaking from my personal banking experience, GBOs looks to me like pure branch based post, as you would be posted in any of the NBP branches where you will have to manage the routine banking tasks on/off the counter, like receiving and processing payments (cheques, transfers, bills, remittances, account opening, etc) with a little bit exposure to the cash dealings, since they have announced separate position for Cash/Banking officer so I presume the exposure to the cash department will be limited but if the cash/banking officers are being recruited for centralized Cash Houses then GBOs will be looking after the whole of branch banking.

Now for TOs I too am a bit unsure about what will be the primary role for this post, now normally TOs are also posted in branches which look after general banking operations the likes I have mentioned above. But since we have Cash Officers and GBOs going along so it seems for TOs they might have thought about a different role, they could be posted to centralized departs or trade/liability departs of their three segment branches.

But for now lets just focus on the interview.

I think interviews r conducted n Karachi first, then Lahore and at last the Panel will come to Islamabad. Correct me if I'm wrong.
