Default State Bank Officials’ Training Scheme (SBOTS)

To further renew, build and strengthen its institutional capacity and as part of its strategic plan, SBP wishes to employ self motivated, talented and result oriented youth as “Assistant Director (OG-2)” under State Bank Officials’ Training Scheme (SBOTS) in different departments (all located at Karachi).
However, Bank retains the option of posting to other cities, if required. The job provides excellent opportunities to those having required qualifications and who have the ability and enthusiasm to play a key role in the future development of the Bank and make a career in the challenging environment of central banking.



Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification:

Master’s Degree or Bachelor Degree with 16 years of education (with atleast 60% marks where percentage system applies or equivalent CGPA where GPA system applies) in Business / Public Administration, Business Economics, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Mathematics, Computer Science/ Information Technology from a HEC recognized university.

Age:

Maximum 28 years as on last date of submission of applications to SBP. Relaxable by three years for candidates from FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

Degree Completion:

Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.


Testing Procedure:

Interested Pakistani nationals meeting the above eligibility criteria are required to register themselves with National Testing Service (NTS) for ‘Graduate Employment Test for Financial Sector’ (GET-FS) to be conducted by NTS as per following procedure:

•Click on "On Line Registration Form". Read the instructions carefully and register yourself by creating “new user" and fill the on line registration form.


•Take printout of form along with fee deposit slip.


•Deposit test fee of Rs.800/- through prescribed deposit slip at any online branch of HBL, MCB, UBL or ABL.


•Send the form to NTS on the given address through courier/post along with original NTS copy of deposit slip, 3 photographs and a copy of CNIC not later than 27th September, 2012.


•NTS/SBP will not be responsible for late receipt of applications sent through post. Applications submitted in person will not be entertained. Applications sent directly to SBP in contravention of the prescribed procedure will not be entertained.


•The candidates will be sent their admit cards at their postal address to appear for the written test to be held on 14th October, 2012 in the major cities of the country.

NTS will upload the result on its website as well as send the final result to the successful candidates after announcement of result.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates who qualify the GET-FS test conducted by NTS shall be eligible to subsequently apply for the post of Assistant Director (OG-2) at SBP. The shortlisted candidates based on the merit list of GET-FS and available number of vacancies will be invited to appear for Group Discussion. Only the candidates who qualify the Group Discussion phase would be eligible to appear before an interview panel.

Final selection will depend on the marks obtained in the Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview(s) in order of merit. All appointments in State Bank of Pakistan are made in compliance with prescribed regional/provincial quota requirements as prescribed by the Federal Government.


Pre-Induction Training:

Selected candidates shall be required to undergo “Applied Focused Theoretical Training” (residential) at National Institute of Banking and Finance, Islamabad. The period of training would be treated as employee on probation and confirmation in the Bank’s service subject to successful completion of theoretical training and other requirements.


Compensation Package:

•Consolidated monthly monetized salary of Rs.45,900/- in the salary range of
Rs.45,900 –107,100.


•Medical facility for self, dependent spouse and dependent children only as per Bank’s rules.
Staff Loans & other benefits and allowances as admissible under New Compensation & Benefits Structure as per Bank’s rules.

Application Procedure:

After announcement of GET-FS result by NTS, the qualified candidates shall apply for the position of Assistant Director (OG–2) in State Bank of Pakistan. The application form for the purpose will be available at the Bank’s website www.sbp.org.pk or can be obtained free of cost from SBP-BSC Field Offices across the country after announcement of result of GET-FS. Duly filled in application form along with GET-FS result sheet issued by NTS, attested copies of all educational documents, CNIC, domicile and 3 passport size photographs can be sent through surface mail to the Additional Director, Human Resources Department, State Bank of Pakistan, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi. 74000 latest by 16th November, 2012.

Please mark the envelope with the position applied for. Only short listed candidates will be contacted. Incomplete / delayed applications or sent through e-mail will not be entertained.

Misinformation and any attempt to influence the selection process will be considered a definite disqualification for current as well as for all future recruitments in the Bank, even if the candidate is otherwise qualified.

Yes I know anyone can apply but I was asking if the successful candidates will be posted only in Karachi? because it is mentioned in advertisement too. Read the second line.

From the advertisement it doesn't seem that there is any age relaxation for govt servants as except it is relaxable by three years only for candidates from FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

What type of test they will take for this post??? Please share some thing regarding it's test pattern???

and my CGPA is 2.92 out of 4.00 and percentage is 64.40% in my MBA.. Can I apply for this post??? Please confirm...

yes they are not giving any relaxation of age and other factors in their criteria
