I attended my interview today. They started interview with my introduction.
Then they asked loads of question related to my Internship ( my experience, my learning during this tenure, my achievements and how did my supervisors view my performance? )
Then they asked me which department I wanted to Join in UBL? After my answer, there was a series of so many whys and hows related to my choice of department.
What is the importance of my career for me (will I continue after marriage)?
What improvement should they made in UBl branch especially where I keep my account ? (Sorry I forgot the question; answering which I told them that I have an account with UBL).
They asked some questions related to Prudential regulations because I had mentioned in my CV that my internship experience was in Corporate banking. (Like what are these and how many are they and what is exposure limit)?
Then they asked about my father's profession and its detail. My sibling details
They discuss regarding my personal skills and forte and advised me how could I utilise them in their current offering vacancy for Sales and CS.
Lastly, they asked some questions related to my Interests and give some suggestions. (Totally unexpected).

Overall, interview was very good. There were all smiles and environment was tension free. I enjoyed it thoroughly. They asked questions mostly related to whatever I had written in my CV. Each one from the panel asked loads of questions. I wish best of luck to all the applicants .May Allah (SWT) grant us whatever is best for us.

And what did you answer about omni.. i think it is a branchless banking concept where transaction can take place through help of mobile number and cnic. is it okay?

Questions which were asked are:
Introduction.
Why you want to join bank?
By whom are you inspired by to join bank?
In which bank do you have your bank account?
Have you ever visited any of the UBL branches?
Sales or operations and why?
What do you know about operations?
Do you have any relative in UBL?

why are they asking that you have any relative in ubl??
what it has to do with the job?

May be for general reason. (if they ask for just once)

But they asked me this question thrice. First in middle of the interview, again when I told them that I had an account with UBL. Third time before concluding the interview. (Now that is abnormal or may be the interviewer forgot that they had asked me before :P )


Going through almost all posts regarding interview experience I observed that they asked relatively easy questions from everyone. Neither of us have posted such questions that would ring danger bells. It is tricky to judge what will determine our final fate? It might be our reasoning and justification for our choice of Banking division in which we want to work. This is the question they have asked from everyone

You are exactly right dear. They have asked almost the same questions. But i think the selection will depend on the academic performance, test result and interview.

yes you are right dear...they know nothing about qualification except whatever we have mentioned in our CVs. May be they will consider just this. But i am of the view that test marks and interview performance will determine who is in and who is out. Interview performance can play a decisive role. (Well...That's my hunch) I am just saying this because of the nature of the questions they asked and their body language which I observed during the interview. (may be its just my observation others experience can be different)

Well in the end we can make assumptions only for the sake of time passing till the calls for the final selection are made.

Only UBL knows the selection Criteria so we should chill and pray

well my father is a VP in ubl in a certain sector but he is retiring next month...........he is going on LPR..............i am afraid i would be rejected ..............
