Test score 72..
Interviewed on 3rd of May at Lahore. Around 8-10 minutes interview. Nothing specific.. general questions. Educational background, family background. Asked me what i knw about SECP. questions about my current job. and in which deptt i will want to go. and in the last, if i wanted to ask dem any questions. 4 guys panel, quite frank.
Best of luck everyone :-) .. lets how how much time they take now

Salam ,
i just wanted to know about the dress code , is it ok to go with a tie n formal pant shirt, because its hot here in karachi and i feel that wearing a suit will be kinda overdressed... any advice will be appreciated

Asad, a pair of dress pants and shirt is totally fine, even without a tie. What matters is your demeanour. So don't worry about that and focus on the communication skills and spoken material.

I asked one of the guys in the LAhore ofice. He was some official in Lahore office, working temporarily as the PA to the panel conducting interviews. I asked him if there are any more stages. He replied that till the last year, interviews were held locally and successful candidates were interviewed by the chairman, but this is the first instance that a panel from Islamabad is conducting interviews throughout the country. So procedure is certainly going to be different this time and he does not know, infact no one knows what is on their mind. But he said that probability is that this is the one and final interview and if the passing candidates outnumber the availabale posts by a large margin, there will a Group Discussion stage, otherwise, this is the final stage.

any updates regarding next stage, as panel told one of interviewed candidates that there will be a second interview after first interview

Chances are very thin for 2012 intake as SECP goes for recruitment drive every 2nd year.
