I think you should start your preparations along with your business.... Don't leave your business for CSS until and unless you pass this exam.. If you fail in first attempt with no business beside it would be a difficult matter for you and your family...

It would be so selfish of you if you solely think about your own power, prestige and blah blah even when you have a family to take care of. Think about your kids too bro. You can't risk your family's future for the sake of your own interest. Why don't you have a look at hundreds of those who have done CSS along with jobs and taking care of their families. I am sure you too can do CSS along with your business.
Forget about dreams forget about motivations for time being and realistically think about your family, if they don't get harmed whatever the consequences of your CSS would be, then go for CSS after quitting the business.
A last piece of advice would be: in one complete year you can easily prepare for CSS along with your business, so, go on and do it, take it as a challenge. If you have that much motivation then you can surely do it along with your business. Come on!

Humbly Submitted: someone who can do CSS can do CSS. Someone who cannot cannot. Businesses and jobs have not kept people from clearing the exam. Besides, you have a whole year to prepare. Familiarizing yourself with the CSS exam would take around 3 months. The 2 key things to prepare yourself in are
1) knowing how to cook a well-worded, convincing story
2) supplying the examiner with facts and evidence
For the first part you need to practice writing on different issues and learning how to structure your answer well and Dilate on a topic. This should take around 3 months of practice. For the 2nd part you will again need around 3 months, focusing on memorizing all the facts figures and historical happenings you need to back your answer with. Keeping in view you are already occupied in business, add 1 more month to each part... And there is your 12 months schedule... And I hope you already read a good newspaper daily...!

brother i will not recommend you, infact its my humble advice to you that not to go for css while leaving your business, because css is the game of luck and number of CSPs are emboding example of it who just did preparation in 3 to 4 months and cleared in very 1st attempt, and number of aspirants are there who worked hard 3 years, attempt their all the three chances still not cleared and back to their early profession.
so its better for you to make a smart study at night timings when you free from your business and appear in the exams with trust in ALLAH...

My friend you should concentrate on your business.

You are settled already. Don't go for CSS. That will be a huge blunder. You are married and you live in a combined family. If you wind up your business now, you will be left with nothing to support your family. If you are making up your mind to appear in 2016, you would get your first posting in 2019 (only if you manage to pass the exam and get allocated). What will you do to run your household in the meantime? It will be a die-die situation for you. Think pragmatically.
