What reforms The Planning commission of Pakistan is going to made in regard to CSS is ludicrous and again is the waste of time and money, no doubt these are the precious elements in the development of any nation. The need of the hour is to impede the way of both, Doctors and Engineers, if they join Superior Services of country would be absolute loss to the country at both end, every body is well aware of that loss, viz, first when a person join medical or engineering field nation resources are exhausted and than at that time when the same person join the civil service and again nation resources are exhausted to groom that person for allocated field, specially financial and managerial. But Planning commission is not paying any heed in this regard, I think there is strong lobby against this long contested, since 2007, reform. I'm not against Doctors and engineers but have more concern for Pakistan's Development.

Cool

It will be a sheer disappointment and intellectual failure of country's policy makers if this scheme would be implemented. First of All, the competition will be shifted from general to group by group. It'd cast a far reaching, long term effects. Presently, after 19th grade, officers may be given any service in any group, no matter what is his specialized group. But once, this scheme is implemented, there would be no reshuffling. Consequently, there will be mismanagement as a result of want of diversity. Secondly, less seats will be available for, the recruitment will be on group basis. It would not only shatter the confidence of the candidates but also result in failure of the most of the candidates.

Implanting an imported system in a surgical manner will worsen the state of affairs. First reform your education system, a system which could impart knowledge. The prevailing system has been failing in developing balanced minds, but opium eaters, craving for authority to be utilized for the satisfaction of their ego.

I don't think that the above said reforms will be effective to find out the best talent across Pakistan. Let's say if they set specific subjects for every occupational group and aspirants will be asked to choose specific subjects for some particular group then you know what happens, every one will go for the top-notch occupational groups and no one will go for the groups which will not be appealing to the aspirants. So it feels like this scenario is ambiguous to me.

And if they say that the students having degrees relevant to the subjects of civil service, will be allowed to apply for the exam then it will be unfair and injustice to the rest who won't be able to meet the prerequisite condition. But everyone knows it is a competitive exam so everyone must be allowed to appear for this exam because every aspirant is as equally important as any other aspirant so they must be treated equally.

And what's bad in having generalized examination system, we get to study so many interesting topic related to Pakistan affairs, our social problems, about Islam and so many other topics, having diverse knowledge always helps you making better decisions.

Yes! Don't worry... You will not face any problem

Debate is useless unless it is announced... Nothing is gonna happen... This is just a news.. Nothing serious... And for true CSS aspirants it is nothing... hackwork pays off. No one can stop you from becoming a successful man. JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES

Agree with you brother but it's the basic right of every citizen to chose a field whatever he/she likes and second government should make health department and engineering side more lucrative for doctor and engineers than CSS so that they don't prefer CSS over their respective fields.

Dear,It doesn't depend upon your subjects you want to prepare regarding CSS exam enlisted in Subjects list.It depends upon your merit no that you have grabed after taken an interview. If you have low merit no,then you have possibility to allocate in PG.Work hard that you could allocate in some suitable group.Always think high.
