Good Idea
Its good idea .... though very late but research oriented executives are the only survival in the future. However, there should be a fixed allocation for scholars, instead of shifting as a whole

Aoa,
I appreciate the idea but rather making it the eligibility criteria, FPSC should formulate it in the curriculum of under training CSP officers. This isn't fair enough at all. What will the others do who are living below poverty line ? A poor who finds it really difficult to make both ends meet when manages to complete bachelors and competes to live a cherish life will be awfully suffered. It has made clear the intentions of FPSC that it only wants white collar people to infuse their blood into the state machinery. It's doesn't seem merciful to poor who can't afford higher studies. This shouldn't be put into practice at any cost. The poor will suffer by dint of it. This should be challenged in Supreme Court. I oppose it !!! Regards.

It is just a "preliminary notion" not implementation. Particularly, for CSS~2016, fpsc has already mentioned the required qualification that can be seen in the following official link:
http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/user/page.php?page_id=373 Question No. 42 What is the required qualification for CSS Exam? Answer: i) A candidate must hold at least a Second Division or Grade ?C? Bachelor?s degree in any faculty of one of the Pakistani Universities or an equivalent degree or comparable educational qualifications of a foreign University recognized by Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. (ii) A candidate who has obtained a Third Division (or `D? grade) in his/her Bachelor?s Degree will be eligible for the Examination in cases where he/she has obtained a higher Division in Master?s Degree. (iii) The decision as to which foreign degrees or comparable educational qualifications are equivalent to corresponding Pakistani degree rests solely with the Commission. Question No. 43 What is the age limit for CSS Exam?? Answer: A candidate for admission to CSS examination 2016 must have attained the age of 21 years and not over 28 years on 31st December, 2015 (i.e. a candidate born on or before 31st December 1987 and on or after 2nd January, 1995 will not be eligible), except the candidate falling in the categories of age relaxation of 2 years (born on or before 31st December, 1985 and born on or after 2nd January, 1995 will not be eligible). I request to one of my dears here, who has always been looking things to generate lame excuses to skip studies. Nevertheless, guys just speed up in your preparation with your targeted time-frame and time table to come up with a good result, as it is little time now. Don't waste your time in such fragile news, which will take ages to get implemented likely. I wish you all the best. |

Dear All,
If approved, this eligibility would be for some specific Group/Service - not all. The chance of adding one more group/service to the existing list of occupational groups cannot be ruled out. Regards,

M.Phil to be minimum qualification for CSS and PCS: Planning Commission of Pakistan
So, planning commission is planning to make M.Phil minimum qualification for CSS and PCS,THE NEWS TRIBE sources reveals. Suggestion will be sent to PM for approval very soon. i think it will be very bad news for candidates from smaller Provinces and POOR families. seeing the literacy rate in smaller provinces and poverty conditions it will only benefit well-off families. very bad news if implemented

Futile Exaggeration:-
I think it is an partial decision and may be avoided withing wasting time.......Moreover,,,,,,, it will waste precious time of all aspirants as well as this decision will urge experts in single subjects, if implemented. Further, the pedagogues will be motivated who are not always excellent administrators...

Don't Waste Time on Thinking.
Upto now FPSC has recommended this notion, but it will take plenty of time to be practically implemented. So rather wasting time on what will be next just be prepared for the upcoming exam. M-Phil candidates are more likely to go for lecturer or research based (high paid) jobs. If they were so interested in the Civil services they would have done exactly after bachelors. So this notion will be not so much implemented.
To conclude, just be determined and be prepared for the up comings.
